This Privacy Policy explains how Syntx AI collects, uses, stores, and protects information when users access the app and connect Google services.

2. What data we collect

We collect:

  • Google account email address (to identify the connected account).
  • Google OAuth access and refresh tokens (to maintain the authorized Gmail connection).
  • Basic account data (required to operate the app securely and provide support).

3. Use of Google User Data and Data Sharing

Syntx AI integrates with Google services to help you automate and complete tasks using your connected Google accounts. When you authorize Syntx AI to access your Google data, we may use it to:

  • Read, draft, or send emails on your behalf via Gmail
  • Access, modify, or manage files in your Google Drive
  • Read or create events in your Google Calendar
  • Read, update, or create data in your Google Sheets

We only access the data strictly necessary to perform the task you explicitly authorize.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

To fulfill tasks you initiate using natural language, Syntx AI shares necessary contextual information (such as your chat instructions) with our third-party AI service provider, specifically Google's Gemini API. We do not sell, transfer, or disclose your Google user data to any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your sensitive Google account credentials and authorization tokens remain strictly isolated on our secure servers and are not shared with our AI provider or any other external entities.

No AI Model Training

We strictly do not use your Google user data for:

  • Training machine learning or artificial intelligence models.
  • Developing or improving generalized AI capabilities.
  • Any form of data mining beyond what is necessary for providing our core service.

Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We only use Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features.
  • We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements.
  • We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless we have your affirmative agreement.
  • We will not sell Google user data or use it for any purpose other than providing our service.

4. Data Protection

We protect Google user data using industry-standard security measures. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS, and data at rest is stored using secure, encrypted databases. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorized personnel and automated systems necessary to perform the service, and we employ rigorous access control policies to prevent unauthorized access.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain Google user data (such as email addresses and OAuth tokens) only as long as is necessary to provide the features of Syntx AI. Users may revoke our access to their Google account at any time via their Google Account security settings. To request the permanent deletion of any data we have collected, users may contact us at support.agent@syntx.in, and we will process such requests within 30 days.

6. User Rights & Indian Law Compliance

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 of India, users have the right to:

  • Access and Correction: Request a summary of the personal data we process and request corrections to any inaccurate data.
  • Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time (which may result in the termination of related services).
  • Erasure: Request the deletion of personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
  • Nomination: Nominate an individual to exercise these rights in the event of death or incapacity.
